New Zoopla findings have determined the fist hour of a listing’s life is the most crucial to success.

Analysis carried out shows just exactly how important that first hour can be.
Although this may not come as a surprise to most agents, it is the most idealistic time to get in front of the phone when wanting to view a new property.
The research, carried out by property portal Zoopla, is based on leads generated by potential purchasers clicking on the ‘email agent’ button on a listing’s details page. The findings were carried out between January and March and were conclusive that most enquiries are generated in the first 6 minutes that the property is live.
Over the duration of a property being live, 11.4% of all leads come on the first day and, for a rental property this rises to even 12%.
The data also reveals that a third of all sales leads come in the first week, rising to over 40% for rentals.

Within the first day, 33.9% of all leads are generate, and this then slows down to 16.9% on day two and 2.5% by day seven.
Charlie Bryant, managing director at Zoopla, said:
Our analysis proves that listings generate a significantly higher number of leads immediately after launching to market. So, there is very little time to ‘test’ a marketing approach, try out a higher price or wait for better images.
From the very first second, agents must ensure that they are marketing the best information to the widest possible audience in order to generate quality leads. In the current market, sellers and landlords cannot afford to miss the boat.
